    A special commemorative box set containing all four of the unique eyewear styles produced for THE VELVET UNDERGROUND BY JMM collection since its inception five years ago: including White Light (2020), Squeeze (2021), Fatale (2022), and Vicious (2023) in a limited-edition 'Platinum' color story.

    The Platinum Collector’s Box includes:

    WHITE LIGHT, originally released Spring 2020. This first of the iconic styles to emerge from our engagement with The Velvet Underground, inspired by the stark spectacles worn by founding band member, John Cale and named after their second release, White Light/White Heat (1968), has been reimagined in Polished Black, featuring temple interiors in Metallic Silver with Gold foil-stamped hallmarks, complemented by mirror lenses and our signature precious metal hardware and exposed wirecores in Silver.

    FATALE, originally released in Summer 2022. Directly informed by the eyewear worn by Nico while attending the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, these titanium tastemakers handcrafted from 100% beta titanium are a homage to the ultimate chanteuse, a savage vision in Silver featuring Gold epoxy temple-tip embellishments.

    SQUEEZE, originally released in Spring 2021. Directly informed by the eyewear worn in the late-’60s by Nico, né Christa Päffgen, these iconic oversized spectacles have been reimagined in Polished Black, featuring temple interiors in Metallic Silver with Gold foil-stamped hallmarks, complemented by mirror lenses and our signature precious metal hardware and exposed wirecores in Silver.

    VICIOUS, originally released in Summer 2023. Inspired by the icy wrap-arounds worn by Lou Reed as he worked on his second solo album, Transformer (1972), these edgy and elevated spectacles have been reimagined in Polished Black, featuring temple interiors in Metallic Silver with Gold foil-stamped hallmarks, complemented by mirror lenses and our signature precious metal hardware and exposed wirecores in Silver.

    At the time of the album's release, three of its songs ("We're Gonna Have a Real Good Time Together", "Over You," and "Sweet Bonnie Brown"/"It's Just Too Much") had never been released in any form, two ("Lisa Says" and "Ocean") were previously only known from the versions on Reed's debut solo album, and "New Age" and "Sweet Jane" were different from the eventual Loaded studio versions. In addition, "White Light/White Heat" is extended from two-and-a-half minutes to over eight minutes of guitar improvisation.
