Named for Honoré de Balzac, novelist and playwright. The lenses are strawberry-shaped, defined by a rounded top brow with articulated cut-outs on the inside before dropping into a flat, bowed nose bridge. The outside edges dip into softly rounded connections that sit on the line of the bottom of the bridge. Toward the front, the shape remains gently rounded but narrows into a slender bow, finishing in a squared-off tip. The overall expression is elegant yet sharp, with a slightly naughty edge, appearing strong while at the same time precious and delicate.
